Internationally Acclaimed Cellist Timothy Eddy Performs Solo Bach Recital
Mamaroneck, NY. – January 4, 2017. Cellist Timothy Eddy, acclaimed recitalist, soloist, chamber musician and recording artist will perform a solo Bach recital at 4pm on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Mamaroneck. Mr. Eddy, a member of St. Thomas, has performed with numerous symphonies, including Dallas, Colorado, and Jacksonville, and appeared at music festivals that include Mostly Mozart, Ravinia, Aspen and Spoleto. Mr. Eddy is currently a Professor of Cello at the Juilliard School and New York’s Mannes College of Music. Mr. Eddy has recorded a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to avant-garde for several labels including Columbia and Sony Classical labels.
This Solo Bach Recital is the third program in a six concert series, Reaching Out with all the Traditions, a community and musical outreach effort, led by St. Thomas’ Director of Music, Eric Milnes, and the Rev. Carol Gadsden, Rector of St. Thomas. Timothy Eddy will perform compositions by Bach for cello in the warm ambiance and crystalline acoustic of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Mamaroneck’s architectural jewel, and provide music fans a unique opportunity to experience these works right here at home in Westchester.

St. Thomas Church is located at 168 West Boston Post Road, at the corner of Mt. Pleasant Avenue, in Mamaroneck. There is ample parking space, and it is five blocks from the Metro North station.
