PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 16, 2017
St. Thomas Episcopal Church begins the final month of its 200th anniversary celebrations with a traditional Christmas Fair and Auction to be held on Saturday, December 2nd, from 10 am to 4 pm, in Heathcote Hall, on the corner of the Boston Post Road and Mount Pleasant Avenue in Mamaroneck.
The St. Thomas Christmas Fair presents a local opportunity to holiday shop for good causes: all proceeds support special community outreach efforts. This year, Fair income will be donated to St. Rita’s Free Medical Clinic whose all-volunteer staff provides no-cost medical care to disadvantaged Westchester residents right here in Mamaroneck, as well as the Hillside Food Pantry which delivers healthy groceries to 2,100 needy families in the region.
St. Thomas’ dedicated volunteers have collected many unique treasures over the course of the past year for the Christmas Fair. The Fair will offer a wide range of items, including clothing; high end, gold, silver, contemporary and vintage jewelry; Christmas gifts; well-priced toys; beautiful holiday decorations; a tremendous selection of vintage items; coffee table books; and scrumptious baked goods.
A silent auction will be held from 10 am to 2 pm, featuring a variety of small and special items. The live auction, which includes antique furniture, collectibles, and works of art, starts at 1pm. Shoppers will find truly unique and special gifts for even the most discerning people on a holiday shopping list.
Come early to the Fair for the best selection and plan to stay for a meal – the Fairside Café will be open throughout the day with delectable choices for breakfast and lunch. There’s even free babysitting from noon to 4 pm so parents can enjoy the auction.
